Description Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and expertise can contribute to the success of the organization. Key Responsibilities: · Daily Accounting including, but not limited to, cash receipts, tracking deposits, invoice entry, and reconciliation. · Assist with new vendor credit applications · Process check runs · Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. · Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account analysis and variance explanations. · Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. · Prepare and submit tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. · Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and reports as needed. · Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. Requirements Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field. · Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. · Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). · Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. · Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
