We’re on the hunt for a Staff Accountant with a proven track record. Basepoint Tax & Accounting specializes in tax and payroll services. We are affiliated with Basepoint Wealth, a registered investment advisor. To do this job well, you need to be highly organized, comfortable with solving problems, communicate well with your peers, and strive to go above and beyond.
As a member of our team, you’ll focus primarily on supporting the client relationship through tax planning and preparation; payroll processing and tax filings, financial statement preparation, and managing data. You should have an understanding of how to find answers to complex tax issues.

• Good communicator with great people skills
• Track workload closely, with obsessive attention to detail
• Enjoy a fast-paced environment with challenging work
• Manage a large number of open requests at once and have the flexibility to manage shifting priorities
• Team oriented, but can also work independently
• Be comfortable with cloud-based applications, e-signatures, and learning new software
• Have a thirst for knowledge - we are constantly challenging ourselves to be better on a professional and a personal level.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2 or more years of tax experience in public accounting
• Payroll and/or Bookkeeping experience preferred
• QuickBooks proficient
• CCH Axcess experience preferred

ADDITIONAL QUALIFIERS:

• Ability to pass a routine background check
