Description As a Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper you will perform bookkeeping services for a variety of individual and business clients in a variety of industries. This role is responsible for posting transactions, entering A/P and A/R, reconciling bank accounts/credit cards, and performing routine month-end balance sheet reconciliations. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and management is necessary for the success of this role, as providing the highest level of service and oversight to our clients is the foundation of our firm. Enjoy a professional and dynamic work environment while making work/life balance a priority. What you will do: Prepare bookkeeping for a variety of clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Perform general accounting duties including entering transactions and reconciling general ledger, credit card, and cash accounts. Verify, complete, and reconcile payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts. Monitor accounts receivable for accuracy of financial reporting. Utilize various accounting software to prepare financial reports for clients. Prepare and file sales tax returns for business clients. Review client payroll reports and record in client records. Develop relationships with clients and gain understanding of their finances and businesses. What we look for: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 1 - 5 years professional bookkeeping or accounting experience Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills Proficient with accounting software, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
