Chris Dikeakos Architects Inc. is of one of the leading architectural firms in the design of multi-family and mixed-use projects, transforming skylines spanning broadly over the West Coast. CDA projects include a 1.9 million square foot mixed-use redevelopment of Metrotown’s Station Square, the Solo District, the Brewery District, and Modello. We are searching for a motivated Staff Accountant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. This role can expect to process and record transactions and assist Controller with various reports. The candidate should be thorough and accurate, with good bookkeeping skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree majoring in accounting or related field;
  • 3 years of accounting experience in a similar role;
  • Proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel, Outlook etc.;
  • Ability to learn and use new computer system;
  • Knowing Deltek Vantagepoint (ERP) software is an asset;
  • Professional manner, strong work ethics and a high level of attention to detail;
  • Clear communication in English.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Record client payments in the system and provide deposit report;
  • Receive vendor invoices, process and issue cheques on a timely fashion;
  • Receive contractor and consultant invoices, process and issue cheques at month end;
  • Process employee expense claims bi-weekly;
  • Prepare staff payroll information and submit the document to outsourced company bi-weekly;
  • Organize and file documents related to vendors, contractors, consultants and clients;
  • Work with Controller and issue monthly invoices/credit memos to both Canadian and US clients;
  • Assist Controller with various reports, including monthly bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation and month end financial statements.
