Description

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or related degree is preferred, experience may substitute for degree
  • Minimum 2-years experience in general ledger accounting at a Not for Profit or For Profit organization with revenue of at least $10M.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct accounting system and Paycom payroll system strongly preferred
  • Excellent/professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting practices and GAAP and able to apply to current job responsibilities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, aptitude for numbers, well organized
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Motivated with strong initiative, a self-starter
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments
  • Proven track record of reliability and responsibility
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
  • Experience working for a not-for-profit a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
