Description
Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team supporting multiple recycling company locations. This individual will play a key role in managing inventory, analyzing financial performance, tracking costs, and partnering closely with Operations Managers to drive efficiency and profitability across locations. Key Responsibilities Oversee commodity inventory review and accounting management across multiple sites. Perform month-end closing, financial statement review, and variance analysis. Review weekly performance and cost trend reports for assigned locations. Lead multi-location, multi-state accounting operations and ensure consistency in processes. Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through data-driven analysis. Conduct monthly operating reviews with Operations Managers; create and follow up on actionable financial improvement plans. Develop and monitor budgets, perform trending analysis, and resolve financial variances. Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multi-location or manufacturing/service environment. Prior supervisory experience required. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis. Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel skills required) and accounting systems. Experience in the manufacturing, recycling, or related industries preferred.
