JOB DESCRIPTION

We need a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about accounting, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our organization’s financial success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • One to three years of experience in accounting or a related role (entry-level candidates with strong internships will also be considered).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in monthly billing and accounts receivable
  • Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Oversee the processing of payroll and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to implementing best practices.
