We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant (Tax focus) with a client in St. Augustine, FL. The position offers a salary in the range of ~ $85K + (Based on experience level) plus benefits and will initially be in-office, transitioning to a hybrid schedule. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance
• CPA license or eligibility for examination is preferred
• 2-4 years of recent experience in public accounting or corporate tax
• Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax is the platform currently being used)
• Strong skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment

• Proficient in tax return preparation for various forms including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120 & 1120S
• Assist in year-end tax planning and projections for clients
• Stay updated on tax law changes through research
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide project updates
• Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities
• Handle tax notices and correspond with tax authorities
• Support management / partners with complex tax issues and special projects
