Overview Our client is a well-established hospitality company based in Oregon, USA, with multiple operating locations. Their business portfolio includes acquired properties and satellite offices across Beaverton and Ashland, Oregon. The organization is actively seeking support to reduce the workload and prevent burnout within its core accounting team. About the RoleWe are hiring a Staff Accountant to join the client’s growing accounting team. This is a remote, full-time role where you will directly support the Controller and be responsible for handling property-level financials. Your day-to-day work will play a vital part in delivering accurate and timely monthly financial statements. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple properties. Process journal entries and perform month-end closings. Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy. Collaborate with the Controller and internal teams to meet deadlines. Maintain accounting data integrity and support documentation for audits. Ask clarifying questions when entries or ledger activity appears unusual. Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and U.S. GAAP. Team Setup: You will report directly to the Controller. You'll collaborate with an existing team of 3 staff accountants and other satellite accounting team members in Beaverton and Ashland. The team works U.S. Pacific Time hours. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. 4+ years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation. Solid understanding of GAAP principles. Proven ability to review journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Comfortable working remotely and following U.S. work hours. Nice to Have: Experience in the hospitality industry (hotel, resort, or property management accounting). Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems commonly used in U.S. companies. Prior experience working in remote/offshore teams.
