Description
We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to add to our growing Accounting Team. As a Staff Accountant, you will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded, oversee company accounting operations, regulate and authenticate financial transactions, and ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks. Responsibilities Assist with all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition. Manage and process annual PCI Compliance billings. Manage the AP aging and maintain a DPO of 35 days or less. Process all payments and receipts for all merchants in Canada. Post and reconcile Salesforce transactions to Sage Intacct. Manage email and respond to all correspondence within a timely manner. Manage the accounting cases in Salesforce. Coordinate with current EBizCharge merchants and sales support team to resolve any concerns and collect funds. Reconcile designated balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly Variance Analysis on designated accounts. Process all Canadian payments and receipts. Prepare all payments to third party vendors. Prepare monthly gateway Fees. Prepare and process annual 1099’s. A/P Vendor File Audits including W9 maintenance 401K contributions and company matching reconciliation. Maintain accurate accounting of terminal inventory via regular physical counts. Month-end close, including reconciliation of bank accounts, and reclassifications to the general ledger. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Cross train on all daily operating functions with Accounting Staff. Maintain confidence and protect company operations by keeping all financial information confidential. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Five or more years of general accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or in a private corporate environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a Plus but not required. Two or more years of experience with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and SQL report writing is highly preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel with previous experience designing and utilizing effective spreadsheets. Ability to work onsite in Irvine, CA. Excellent organizational, analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. High energy and driven individual with proven track record of results. Easily overcomes challenges and adapts to change. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines while maintaining strong attention to details and accuracy. Ability to uphold the confidential nature of the position. Strong problem-solving skills.
