Description Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial operations within a manufacturing or process-driven environment, with a focus on inventory, production costing, and operational accounting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and partnering with operations teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Key Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile inventory balances and production-related accounts Track and analyze production yields, shrink, and operational variances Assist with cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations and standard cost updates Partner with operations teams to validate production data and inputs Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis Support accounting for hedging instruments and related reporting, if applicable Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Track capital expenditures and assist with project capitalization Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 1–3 years of accounting experience; manufacturing or agriculture industry experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis Preferred Experience Experience within manufacturing, agribusiness, commodity-based, or process industries Exposure to hedge accounting or derivatives Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations teams Strong organizational and time management abilities
