Description The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close. This role works closely with internal teams across multiple locations and reports directly to the Controller. Job Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts Process intercompany transactions Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analyses Prepare schedules and documentation for audits Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data entry into the ERP system Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close Knowledge of debits and credits Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with an accounting or ERP system preferred
