The ideal candidate for the position is a detail-oriented professional with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least two years of relevant experience. They possess sound judgment, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in all financial matters. Responsibilities: Prepare, review, post, and analyze monthly journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with Eliot financial reporting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Perform reconciliations of general ledger, bank, and balance sheet accounts, including investigating discrepancies, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions. Review and validate payroll-related accounting entries, ensure accurate general ledger entries maintaining compliance with accounting standards and Eliot policies. Provide analysis of payroll expense trends to CFO and Controller. Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules. Report on capital expenditures and depreciation impacts to financial statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including providing analysis and insights into trends and variances. Develop and review audit schedules and workpapers. Serve as point of contact for internal and external auditors to explain transactions and provide supporting documentation Collaborate with colleagues in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Finance to support cross-functional workflows. Qualifications: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Two years of relevant accounting experience preferred. NetSuite and/or other accounting software experience preferred.
