Job Details Job Location: Listening Ear Crisis Center - Mount Pleasant, MI 48804 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $53,000.00 - $62,000.00 Salary Listening Ear is a growing non-profit human service agency looking for a motivated staff accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated accounting knowledge with a firm grasp on financial accounting principles. Excellent communication skills will be invaluable as the staff accountant engages with people both inside and outside the agency. Strong computer and system skills are necessary for projects that are assigned. Responsibilities: The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the financial team. This position is supervised by the Financial Director and assists with the general financial operation of the agency. The Staff Accountant is directly responsible for: Month End Closing Entries and Reconciliations Monthly Bank Reconciliations General Ledger Credit Card Management Contract & Grant billing Asset & Depreciation Schedule Restricted Asset Management Annual 1099, and 1095 Filings In addition to the duties mentioned above the Staff Accountant is assigned larger projects. Some are wholly completed by the Staff Accountant and others are as part of a team. Projects will include items such as: Preparation for Annual Audit Budget Development Process Review and Development This position is also expected to utilize their skills to support the primary financial functions of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Most often this is as indirect support but sometimes this person will need to help with functions such as data import/export, manual data entry, and data review.
