This is a full-time position. The Staff Accountant - Financial Reporting will responsible for the reconciliation of general ledgers and responsible for financial reporting of Home State’s various entities. Looking for local candidates, as this position doesn't have relocation available. * Preparation of the consolidated monthly board report package. * Prepare the quarterly qualified collateral report (QCR) and detail loan listing for submission to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago * Responsible for daily and monthly account reconciliations as well as financial reporting for the Bank’s Retail Mortgage Department. * Prepare the monthly loan activity reports for the Retail Mortgage Department. * Assist in the preparation of asset liability management reports for ALCO meetings. * Perform the monthly updating and posting of mortgage serving rights. * Assist with the annual budget process Education * Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or associate's degree with equivalent experience * Financial institution experience preferred Home State Bank offers competitive pay and a generous benefit package that starts the first of the month following hire: * Medical through BCBS – 3 PPO Plans and HMO * Dental PPO through BCBS * Vision insurance through BCBS * $50,000 in Company Paid Life & ADD and long-term disability insurance * 401k after 90 days with company match of 3% after a year * Generous Time Off - 4 weeks paid vacation, 1-week sick pay and 11 paid FDIC holidays, 1 floating holiday (personal) day * Tuition reimbursement - courses and books up to $6,000 annually per policy * Holiday Party at Boulder Ridge Country Club * We are proud to be a diverse workforce that is representative, at all job levels, of the customers we serve.
