OB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will support accounts payable processes, assist with financial statement preparation, and contribute to our routine closing processes. This role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate on special projects while enhancing internal controls and financial policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in month end close process, financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with Sage preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Dedicated, detail-oriented team player with a problem-solving mindset.
    Job Types: Full-time, Contract
    Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary support for the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
  • Assist with day-to-day financial operations for multiple entities, maintaining accuracy across accounts.
  • Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including recording transactions and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Support annual audit and tax compliance efforts by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Maintain and improve existing internal controls and accounting policies to align with industry best practices.
  • Participate in ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned, contributing to the organization’s overall success.
