POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re partnered with a leading organization in the Buffalo area seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join their team. The Staff Accountant will support the Controller in managing the organization’s financial operations including preparing financial statements, overseeing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to strategic financial planning.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).

  Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate and timely.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes and reporting requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Assist with audits and serve as a point of contact for external auditors.
• Work with other departments to improve financial processes and support decision-making.
• Assist the Senior Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
