Glotman * Simpson is looking for an organized and professional Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Vancouver-based team. The successful candidate will be a team player, have strong communication skills, and integrity. The Staff Accountant will report to the Director of Finance and be responsible for providing full-cycle account support.

REQUIREMENTS + QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of related work experience;
  • Business degree in Accounting or Finance or 3rd year level CPA student
  • Experience with Deltek system or other ERP software an asset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); and,
  • Organized, accurate and deadline oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the accounting of projects including contracts review, billing, collections and costing;
  • Assist with Payroll and Employee Benefits;
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and yearly financial reports including journal entries, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and working papers;
  • Preparation of periodic tax returns such as GST and corporate taxes; and,
  • Perform full cycle accounting for various related companies including monthly bank reconciliations, working papers and adjusting journal entries
