Job Title: Staff Accountant Company: Goodwin Knight, LLC Department: Accounting & Finance Reports to: Goodwin Knight Corporate Controller Job Type: Regular Full-Time Work Hours: M-TH 8-5, Friday 8-12 Effective Date: February 2026 Exemption Status: Nonexempt Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000/year (DOE) Profit Sharing: Company Profit Sharing is available and varies based on business results. As a member of the accounting team, assists in daily, monthly, and annual activities, audits, resolving discrepancies, reporting, and ad hoc duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Functions: Collaborates with internal departments to gather and analyze relevant financial data Enters financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger Performs account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct Complies with internal accounting procedures Maintains accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices Supports the loan draw processes and Accounts Payable processes as needed Gathers supporting documentation and performs recordkeeping Assists with preparation for annual audits Performs administrative and other tasks as needed Assists with special projects as needed Performs other related duties as assigned by management Minimum Required Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting · Knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations · Competency in accounting and business management software · Proficient in Excel · Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills · Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data · Ability to maintain confidentiality · Ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization · Experience and/or desire to participate in reviewing tax returns (Partnerships – Form 1065) Preferred Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · Verbal and written communication skills · Interpersonal and customer service skills · Organizational skills and attention to detail · Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines · Analytical and problem-solving skills · Ability to prioritize tasks · Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Work Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
