What You’ll Be Doing: * Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. * Preparing monthly Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold reconciliations * Revenue Recognition * Assisting with monthly close processes. * Performing general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department. * Reconciling bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. * Reconciling customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections. * Verifying payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts. * Providing outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. * Ensuring compliance with GAAP. * Performing other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Director of Accounting. We are looking for someone who: * Has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or in a related specialization. * Has at least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, or similar. * Is proficient in QuickBooks. * Has a working knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. * Is highly organized and detail oriented. * Possesses strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. * Exhibits excellent collaboration and communication skills. * Possesses a willingness to learn and a desire to share knowledge within the team Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift/move up to 15 pounds at times.
