Job Title: Staff Accountant II Location: East Longmeadow, MA Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 Hours: Work on-site from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Join a growing team within an organization offering ample opportunities for internal growth. Type: Contract to hire – Looking for a long-term candidate. Position Overview: Join our clients finance team as a Staff Accountant, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance department's operations and management. You will report directly to the Assistant Controller and contribute to the financial health of our organization. Key Responsibilities: Perform bank reconciliations. Prepare and file sales and use tax returns. Conduct monthly reconciliation of company’s sales by state. Manage account reconciliations. Oversee daily service capitalization. Maintain business forecasts. Assist in month-end close activities, including journal entries. Maintain fixed assets records. Manage the company’s credit card process. Support fiscal year-end close. Act as a backup for accounts payable. File year-end 1099’s and manage W9’s. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 3-4 years of general accounting experience Strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective time management abilities. Self-motivated and proactive approach. Problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Power BI.
