Description Position Summary: The Finance Team is seeking a focused, knowledgeable, and analytical Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong work ethic, attention to detail, and knowledge of technical and operational accounting and finance functions. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment. Position Responsibilities: Perform monthly bank reconciliation for all ICC and Family of Solutions bank accounts. Record intercompany bank transfers. Reconciliation of all intercompany account balances and transaction activity. Maintain ledger; record and document company financial transactions. Prepare and analyze comprehensive reports. Assist in preparation of month-end & year-end close, annual audit schedules, and tax filings. Assist in preparation of annual budgets. Ensure procedures and reporting comply with all current regulations. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive employee inquiries or issues. Carry out assigned projects to completion in timely manner. Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Participate in the testing and deployment of the new ERP system Other duties as assigned. Requirements Essential Skills and Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS required) in Finance or Accounting required. CPA is preferred. Minimum 3 years of professional public accounting and financial accounting. Public Accounting Firm experience from the following preferred: Crowe, Baker Tilley, RSM, CBIZ Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Organized and strong critical thinker with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively. Experience with spreadsheet programs such as Excel. Familiarity with Great Plains general ledger is highly preferred. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regards to company accounts and assets. Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the business. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a large volume of emails, MS Teams messages and phone calls Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk Occasional standing, walking, and reaching to access files or office supplies Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, documents) Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials Auditory ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone May need to climb stairs in multi-level office building Environmental Conditions: Indoor Office Environment Must be able to work in standard office environment with artificial lighting and climate control Disclaimer: This description is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
