THE JOB: This role will report to: The Director of Finance and Assistant Controller The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in the office and requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Additionally this vital role assists with the review and process for billing for FIT and wholesale accounts in accordance with contractual agreements. Prepare and maintain accurate billing records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes. Assist in month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required to support hotel financial operations. When joining our team as the Staff Accountant, you will be offered: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance for Full-Time Employees Matching 401k after 1 year Travel discounts at partner Noble House Hotels around the country Supplemental benefits to select as Short-Term disability Paid holidays/ Vacation time On Demand Pay - your pay before payday Career growth opportunities Nation wide discount program (inclusive of theme park, MLB, NFL and concert tickets ) Requirements Key Responsibilities: Review and accurately bill group accounts review and accurately bill FITs/wholesale accounts reconcile and post payments resolve guest billing inquiries Collect outstanding financial assets maintain current aging Assist with other opportunities within the department Assist in Month end closing processes Administrative duties as required to support hotel financial operations To be successful in this role you should have the ability to successfully; Education & Experience: Previous experience in Accounting High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in a previous hotel is strongly preferred Technical Skills: Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into computer systems Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions with strong problem solving skills Developed computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Advanced in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs will occur Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone. Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations Communication & Other Soft Skills: Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
