Description

The Staff Accountant provides support to the Finance & Accounting department at various levels, with the primary function being to ensure proper recording and recognition of assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses, which requires communication with various departments outside of the Finance & Accounting department to complete the responsibilities of the position. Emphasis for this position is primarily Revenues and Assets focused, but may include, add, or change to include Expenses or Liabilities.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Associates degree with equivalent job experience preferred.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years of accounting experience preferred, with demonstrated knowledge of standard accounting principles and procedures.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft products (Excel, Office, Word) with extensive knowledge of Excel required, including v-lookup and pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision/Business Central preferred. Experience with CampMinder CRM System and two Salesforce applications TractionRec and NPSP are a plus as well, with the ability to learn other systems as needed.
  • Strong data manipulation skills with high degree of accuracy. Previous experience managing data as well as formatting and generating reports.
  • Deferred Revenue recognition experience is preferred but not required.
  • Key strengths must include organization, attention to detail, strong initiative, and effective problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist and/or walk on a frequent basis throughout an 8-hour day; perform repetitive movement of arms/hands to operate computer, smartphone, keyboard, & mouse; and be able to frequently push, pull and lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift more than 20 pounds.
  • Mental Abilities: Attention to detail; manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Vision Abilities: See detail in objects; distinguish between colors, shades and brightness and ability to focus and operate office equipment.
