Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, the Accountant’s responsibilities include partnering with IT, Product teams, Sales and Operational partners to improve business insights by accounting for operational activities while supporting the accumulation and analysis of data for management as it relates to business decisions. This is a non-supervisory position. Responsibilities Accounting: • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Assist in reviewing financial data for completeness and accuracy and identify variances or unusual activity • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information necessary for close and reporting General Ledger & Reconciliations: • Perform detailed reconciliations and maintenance of assigned rebate and other general ledger accounts • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails to support account balances • Assist with internal and external audit requests as needed Fixed Assets: • Support and oversee aspects of the fixed asset process, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation • Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure alignment with the general ledger Standard Costing: • Assist with standard cost setting and product cost calculations • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure cost accuracy and process improvement Requirements Education: • Minimum 2-year Associate degree. 4-year preferred. • Additional education, such as MBA or CPA, a plus Experience: • Minimum 2 years in progressively responsible experience in Accounting Other Requirements: • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same • Accountable for specific performance • Exceptional attention to detail, meeting deadlines and providing a high-level of customer service • Confidential, understands the ethical standards of accounting • Strong system skills – experience with SAP, BW, Microsoft CRM, and Adaptive Insights preferred • Clear problem solving and investigative skills –support a lean environment, Six Sigma Certification, a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PowerPivot, pivot tables, Vlookup, VBA, Macros, etc.) Benefits: We offer an excellent compensation package and team-oriented work environment with growth opportunities.
