The Staff Accountant supports the firm’s financial operations by preparing accurate financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and performing key accounting functions. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Essential functions and responsibilities: * Prepare consolidated internal financial statements by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from the general ledger * Execute period‑end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting * Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger * Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts * Research and interpret financial data to respond to accounting and financial inquiries * Analyze accruals and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with accounting standards * Review accounts payable documentation for proper coding and adherence to internal policies * Prepare schedules and compile supporting documentation for financial audits, project audits, and FAR audits * Assist with preparation of tax filings * Maintain the fixed asset system and record related transactions * Support the development and maintenance of the annual budget Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities * Perform other related duties as assigned
