Description

Recognized as an industry leader possessing years of experience in the telecommunications space, Lite Access offers integrated solutions for all types of telecom requirements. Beginning with a comprehensive project analysis to engineering, design and permitting, Lite Access offers a full complement of aerial and underground construction methodologies including splicing, testing and maintenance. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail orientated staff accountant to join the finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders, AP invoices and semi-monthly payments.
  • Reconcile accounts with vendors and suppliers and answer the inquiries.
  • Keep track of the credit card receipts and record the transactions.
  • Reconcile the monthly credit cards statements.
  • Full cycle receivables, including issuing invoices, cash receipts and bank deposits.
  • Issue monthly statements to customers and conduct the AR collection for past due invoices.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, file the payroll remittance and respond to payroll inquiries.
  • Payroll reconciliations and issue ROE’s.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • File monthly GST and quarterly WCB returns.
  • Organize the accounting files and business records.
  • Assist with the inventory and fleet management
  • Support the annual audit and document preparation.
  • Collaborate with operation teams to create job codes and track the project cost.
  • Assist with some office administration tasks.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Minimum two years of full cycle accounting experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience with QuickBooks Enterprise.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter, willing to do work outside job description as required
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Previous experience in construction industry is a strong asset.
