Description Job Purpose: This position serves as a Staff Accountant for Lucas Oil Products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business entities. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller. Duties/Responsibilities: Reconciles bank accounts and creates adjusting journal entries. Records journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications Assist with month end and year end close Generate and distribute customer invoices Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check) accurately Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balances Coordinate with internal teams on billing issues and discrepancies Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner Ensure proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation Prepare and process weekly payment runs Ensure compliance with company policies and account procedures Aids in designing, documenting, and implementing accounting processes and procedures. Aids in development of budgets. Other responsibilities as requested. Requirements Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a stationary environment for long periods of time on a computer. Ability to travel to different sites as needed Required Skills: Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data Understanding of GAAP Hands-on experience with AR, AP, and GL accounting Proficiency in accounting software and Excel Education/Licenses/Experience Required: Degree in accounting or other business-related field is required 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferable in a multi-entity environment
