OVERVIEW

Seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail orientated Staff Accountant with experience in a manufacturing (multi-site and multi-currency) environment to join and support our finance team. This is a full-time role and required to be on-site Monday to Friday. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records and promoting efficient operations within a dynamic company.

ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive experience in an accounting role, in the manufacturing or consumer goods sector.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

· Solid understanding and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
· Proven proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems and all Microsoft applications is required.
· Experience with Multicurrency Accounting and Canadian tax compliance is essential.
· Experience with accounting tools – Financial Calculators, Accounting Books, Spreadsheeting etc. is required.
· Posses’ strong mathematical aptitude and thorough knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, purchasing inventory and standard costing within a manufacturing environment.
· Valid G Driver’s License.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This Staff Accountant position involves performing daily and core accounting operations with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Reviewing and accurately processing employee expense reports, verifying compliance with company policies and assigning correct general ledger classifications.
· Managing and reconciling prepaid expenses and systemic amortization.
· Providing essential support for Accounts Receivable and Purchasing functions, including cash application, monitoring collections, and maintaining accurate customer ledgers.
· Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
· Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
· Perform monthly cost analysis to ensure standard costing of inventory is accurate.
· Backup for inventory control analyst, enter production and inventory records with third party warehouses.
