    MHP - A Porsche Company is seeking an organized and driven person to join our growing team. In this role, the candidate will assist in the accounting and finance processes. This role will work closely with our Head of Finance and operations personnel. We’re an energetic company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization. This is a hybrid role that will require being onsite in our Atlanta, GA, office location 2-3 days per week.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (concentration in Accounting) preferre

Experience:

  • 1+ years of accounting experience in a professional environment (General Ledger, AR, AP, Cash Management)
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS Accounting, and US Tax
  • Strong PC skills with knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be deadline-driven
  • Very good verbal and written communication skill
Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day general ledger accounting, including journal entry preparation and related reporting in the areas of Prepaids, Accruals, Payroll, Benefits, and Intercompany / Related Party processes
  • Accounts payable subsidiary ledger, assist with vendor payment setup, the post of invoices, reconcile corporate credit card statement and vendor setup
  • Accounts receivable billing and collections
  • Fixed asset accounting and reporting
  • Bank entries (i.e., transfers, payments, receipts) and bank account reconciliations
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close procedures, including proper period end cut-off and accounting close schedule
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual closing, consolidation, and reporting processes and apply methods to improve efficiency
  • Close cooperation with Finance & Administration Germany
  • Preparation of special evaluations and reports
  • Participation in the monthly and year-end closing process
  • Promote the continuous improvement process within the division and participate in internal projects.
