Missouri Ozarks Community Health is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will be based out of our Ava, MO location. This position is responsible for maintaining day-to-day accounting functions, performing month-end reconciliations, preparing monthly financial statements, and assisting with annual federal, state, and financial audit reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university (required)
• 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience (required)
• Experience in healthcare accounting is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Familiarity with GAAP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Must pass a drug/alcohol screening before employment can begin

  Pay: $54,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Assist with annual financial audits and IRS Form 990
• Prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
• Perform monthly reconciliations and review general ledger details
• Post daily, monthly, and annual adjusting journal entries
• Manage fixed asset entries and depreciation calculations
• Monitor patient revenue cycle management (RCM)
• Create and enforce internal audit procedures
• Reconciling payroll accounts with the general ledger
• Handle financial grant reporting
• Provide data analysis, projections, and reporting for the CFO
