JOB TITLE: Staff Accountant DATE: 2025 DEPARTMENT: Accounting REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager MAJOR PURPOSE: The Staff Accountant supports the accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role plays a key part in the day to day financial operations of the agency. Bridge the gap between accounting and our media teams to ensure client billing is seamless and media spends are accounted for. If you don’t have direct media experience, experience handling deferred revenue and prepayments will be advantageous. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and post journal entries Assist with client invoicing and media spend reconciliation to ensure accurate billing cycles Manage expense tracking and credit card reconciliations for agency wide software and media platforms Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Maintain accurate and organized financial records Assist with audits and provide requested documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business needs Identify opportunities for process improvements Perform other duties as assigned Requirements CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE: Strong understanding of accounting principles Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency (VLOOKUPS, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, and Data Visualization) Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Strong analytical and problem solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a fast paced agency environment Agency experience preferred EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 2–4 years of accounting experience CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA or CMA preferred Agency experience highly preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Periods sitting at a desk and monitoring computer (ergonomic sit/stand desks provided) What does Net Conversion have to offer?!Competitive SalaryPaid medical at the base tier for the employee onlyAll the standard medical, dental, vision optionsUnlimited PTO60% STD at no cost to the employee 7 weeks Paid Parental leave after 1 years of serviceSupplemental product options such as critical illness, cancer, hospital, life, and more4% 401k MatchHybrid work from schedule for those employees in our Orlando or Charlotte officeWellness InitiativesSummer Fridays (office closes at 2pm)Pet Benefits3 & 5 year anniversary milestone gifts Net Conversion does not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, transgender status, sexual stereotypes, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics.
