Description Paragon Micro is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our growing finance organization. This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on experience across core accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance activities. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, perform account analyses, and complete account reconciliations. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts in accordance with company policies and GAAP. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances as needed. Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness. Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation. Respond to internal and external information requests in a timely and professional manner. Support compliance and regulatory reporting requirements. Collaborate with the Controller and Assistant Controller on special projects and ad hoc financial analyses. Meet established processing and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required. 1+ years of accounting experience, or a recent college graduate with a relevant accounting internship or hands-on practical experience. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required); Power BI experience is a plus. Interest in pursuing CPA certification (CPA track preferred). Compensation Philosophy at Paragon Micro We are offering a salary up to $70,000 annually, which is inclusive of a bonus.
