Starting Pay: $43,680-$54,433 As a Staff Accountant at Pathfinder, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. Working closely with the Controller and CFO, this position supports month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting that allow our mission-driven programs to thrive. As a Staff Accountant at Pathfinder, You Will: Accounting & Financial Operations Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, including month-end and adjusting entries. Complete bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and record associated entries. Review, monitor, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. Audit, Compliance & Accuracy Assist with year-end financial audits and internal/external audit requests. Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and report concerns to the Controller or CFO. Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and best practices. Collaboration & Team Support Serve as backup support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Medicaid Billing, and daily banking tasks as needed. Partner with accounting team members to meet deadlines and department goals. Contribute ideas to improve processes, documentation, and efficiencies. A minimum of three years’ experience in accounting preferred. Experience with accounting on computer systems. Ability to develop and deliver accurate data for review or presentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and accounting software. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
