Description Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Senior Accounting Manager About the Role We’re looking for a detail-driven Staff Accountant to support accounting operations for a growing parking and mobility services organization. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records across multiple parking assets, municipalities, and technology platforms. Key Responsibilities Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Reconcile parking revenue across multiple sources (mobile payment platforms, gated systems, citation revenue, validations, etc.) Track and reconcile merchant accounts, bank deposits, and cashless payment platforms Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and municipal invoicing Support financial reporting for multiple locations, contracts, and municipalities Prepare and maintain schedules for prepaid revenue, validations, and deferred income Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and contract requirements Support audits and provide documentation as needed Collaborate with operations, technology, and municipal partners to resolve discrepancies Contribute to process improvements and accounting system efficiencies Additional duties as required by the company Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–5 years of accounting experience (multi-location, service-based, or operational environments preferred) Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with revenue reconciliation and high-volume transactions Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, or similar) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) Ability to manage deadlines independently in a remote environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience in parking, transportation, mobility, or municipal services Familiarity with mobile payment platforms (ParkMobile, Passport, PayByPhone, etc.) Experience working with municipalities or public-sector contracts Experience with multi-entity or multi-fund accounting
Responsibilities
