Description The Staff Accountant position is an integral part of PMC’s Corporate Finance and Administration department. The position is responsible for computing and preparing data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions and payroll administration. Duties and Responsibilities The Staff Accountant's duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following: · Records cash transactions and reconciles bank accounts · Reviews and processes expenses in the expense management system · Records various journal entries across multiple entities · Reconciles general ledger accounts at the entity and consolidated level · Files miscellaneous tax returns and ensures compliance with reporting and filing requirements · Reviews and processes contract labor expenses · Prepares annual 1099 filings · Monitors routine expenses and performs expense accruals · Prepares monthly expense analyses · Prepares ad hoc research and analyses Requirements Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in a related field required. Experience: One to three years of related experience preferred. Entry-level considered. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Acute attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficient in commonly used Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience with NetSuite system/software, preferred. Knowledge of SharePoint/OneDrive, and other email/collaboration technologies. Professional appearance and demeanor Direct Reports This position does not have any direct reports. Reporting Structure The Staff Accountant position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
