We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves managing various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. • Process vendor invoices and recurring monthly payments to ensure timely and accurate accounts payable operations.
• Manage expense reimbursements and reconcile vendor statements while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Prepare and process invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable management.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and bank accounts, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and precise.
• Collaborate with project managers by providing updates on aged accounts receivable and outstanding balances.
• Post adjusting journal entries, allocate intercompany expenses, and assist in preparing financial statements.
• Generate reports and manipulate spreadsheets to support various accounting analyses and decision-making.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
• Handle administrative accounting tasks, including intercompany journal entries and reconciliation processes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and vendors to support financial operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years technical education and three years of accounting experience, or five years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and handle high volumes of transactions.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and general accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• High ethical standards and alignment with the company’s core values.
