Robert Half is recruiting for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client’s team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and a minimum of three years of experience in accounting.

• A minimum of three years of accounting experience with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Intacct and QuickBooks.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.
• Experience in month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable functions, including payment posting and discrepancy resolution.
• Ability to perform account and bank reconciliations with precision.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled regularly.
• Utilize accounting software such as Intacct and QuickBooks to streamline processes.
• Perform month-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including posting payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Conduct account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to verify financial data.
• Analyze and research discrepancies in financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Create and maintain reports using Excel tools such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Assist in developing efficient workflows to enhance accounting operations.
• Collaborate with team members to address accounting challenges and improve systems.
