Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Staff Accountant role is an excellent opportunity to learn insurance claims accounting and grow within the organization. Reporting to our Accounting Manager, this role will collaborate with multiple departments.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ACH validation process and reconciliation of our internal third party administrator client’s claims account with their corresponding fund balance liability
  • Reconcile and review Bank Reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of Accounts Payable to vendors
  • Review and analyze customer claims accounts
  • Create and distribute client invoices
  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations in adherence to monthly close schedule
  • Assist in the preparation of routine and ad-hoc analysis and reports for senior management
  • Other duties as assigned
