Location: [Onsite] Position Overview We are a growing organization that depends on careful financial stewardship and disciplined accounting practices. We are seeking a Staff Accountant who will take ownership of core accounting functions and help ensure that our financial records are accurate, well-maintained, and aligned with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role plays an important part in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations while supporting leadership with reliable and timely financial information. Key Responsibilities Cash Management & Payments * Coordinate and execute bank transfers and vendor payments. * Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and approvals are properly documented. * Reconcile payments to the appropriate accounts. * Maintain strong internal controls around cash management. * Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure vendor obligations are met efficiently and responsibly. General Ledger & Accounting Operations * Maintain the company’s general ledger and supporting schedules. * Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations. * Ensure all accounting activities comply with GAAP and accrual accounting principles. * Record revenues and expenses in the appropriate accounting periods. * Monitor and maintain accruals, deferrals, and adjusting entries. Financial Reporting * Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements. * Support the development of financial reporting packages for leadership. * Ensure financial information is timely, organized, and decision-ready. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * 3–7 years of accounting experience preferred. * Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting. * Experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment. * Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
