Description Essential Functions: · Accurately record monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries. · Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. · Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. · Sales, use, and property tax compliance · Assist in planning, budgeting, and forecasting of expenses. · Participate in physical inventories as needed. · Assist with requests from management for ad hoc or special reports; provide requested data in a user-friendly format. · Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: · Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. · Able to extract data from a database and manipulate/combine with other data. · Proficient in Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Word). · ERP experience software experience with Oracle / SAP / Plex preferred. · Inventory cost valuation a plus. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. · Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. · Able to work in a team and independently. Education & Experience: · Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting and a minimum of three years’ applicable work experience. · MBA and prior manufacturing industry experience preferred. · Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process. · Experience with accounting software systems.
Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will accurately record journal entries and prepare financial reports including balance sheets and profit and loss statements. They will also conduct account reconciliations and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
