This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable processes, maintaining fixed assets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The Staff Accountant collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies, supports external audits, and contributes to inventory management and special projects as needed. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIALS DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage accounts receivable including invoicing, payment processing, and application. Process credit and debit memos accurately and timely. Handle accounts payable functions including invoice processing and payment preparation. Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns. Maintain and update fixed asset records. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare periodic financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with various departments to resolve accounting-related issues. Assist with the annual external audit process. Participate in the annual physical inventory count and reconciliation. Provide support on special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience Associate degree in accounting or finance Experience in ERP systems Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and month end close Ability to develop relationships with individuals at all levels, including customers, vendors and other employees Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through various methods, including phone, e-mail and formal written communication Analytical skills, including the ability to identify inaccuracies or discrepancies Problem solving and innovation skills, including the ability to analyze, interpret, understand and successfully resolve issues within the best interests of the Company. A high level of proficiency in Excel PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree (in accounting or finance) Three years in a custom manufacturing environment
