In this role, you’ll be responsible for key accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and ad-hoc projects. You'll work closely with both the Accounting and Finance teams, gaining exposure to a wide range of functions and contributing to the financial health of Surya. What You'll Do: * Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Handle multiple large bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. * Journal Entries: Prepare and enter journal entries with precision and attention to detail. * Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily bank reports for Senior Management, analyze variances, and ensure the financial data aligns with company goals. * ERP Transactions: Post payments in the ERP system (MAS Sage 100) and review bank postings for AR and AP. * File Management: Establish and maintain confidential company files and financial records. * Ad-Hoc Projects: Take on diverse projects that will stretch your accounting skills and broaden your expertise. What We’re Looking For: * Education & Experience: A degree in Accounting or Finance is required. 2-3 years of related experience is preferred, though an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. * Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications is essential. Experience with Sage is a plus. * Attention to Detail: You’ll need a keen eye for accuracy and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. * Problem Solver: You’ll be expected to research and resolve discrepancies with logical and practical solutions. * Independent Worker: You should be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines. * Team Player: While you’ll handle individual tasks, you’ll also be an integral part of a larger team, so collaboration is key. * Adaptability: Must thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and handle multiple priorities with ease. * Integrity: We value high ethics and integrity, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering accurate and timely results.
