For more information, visit www.Synergbiopharma.com POSITION OVERVIEW: Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable to join our Finance & Accounting team in a fast-growing life science consulting organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and outgoing payments. The Staff Accountant will partner closely with Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Accounting teams to support financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. LOCATION: Hybrid (3 days in Framingham office) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Accounts Payable: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper authorization and matching with purchase orders. · Payment Processing: Schedule and execute payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer in a timely manner. · Vendor Management: Maintain vendor files, reconcile statements, and resolve billing discrepancies. · Cash Register/Cashiering: Handle daily cash receipts, process transactions, reconcile daily sales reports, and balance the cash drawer. · Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, assist with expense reports, and support month-end closing. · Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements (e.g., 1099 tracking where applicable). QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. · Communication: Ability to communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment status. · Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage payment deadlines. · Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Airbase preferred · Advanced Excel Skills are required. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications · Previous experience in bookkeeping, AP, or cashiering. · Experience in professional services, consulting, or life sciences industries.
