Description Located in Worthington, MN you will partner with financial leadership for the Company’s Structural business segment serving the manufacturing sites in Worthington, MN and Winchester, VA as well as a key partner of the manufacturing accounting & finance team. The Staff Accountant is accountable for partnering Structural plant’s accounting and finance leadership and business site leadership to develop to execute and track performance. This role plays a key role in helping the business leverage of the Epicor ERP system to understand results and drive profitable action. Requirements ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ownership and execution of Epicor standard cost rolls General job transaction audits – monitoring applied hours / material issued and job receipt transactions Manage specialty inventory kits and associated costing Maintain inventory BOMs and methods for raw material production including production jobs opening & closing, application of material usage and labor applied Maintain maintenance job transactions – creating new batch & closing previous batches Facilitate physical inventory count adjustments with Operations team and analyze/validate related variances Ad-hoc analysis of financial and operating metrics to support business needs Monitor and work with plant management on Continuous Improvement initiatives and validate savings Assist with manufacturing standard setting and maintenance processes as required Interaction with corporate accounting and finance teams related to both BU and corporate accounting priorities Assist Operations teams in MN and VA with manufacturing jobs administrative tasks as requested Assist Senior Accountant with various ad hoc tasks as requested REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong working knowledge of GAAP Epicor ERP experience preferred Multi-site experience preferred Strong MS Excel skills required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Manufacturing environment experience required Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint Superior analytical and communication skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
