Description
As a Staff Accountant you will be a part of our dynamic and growing Finance and Accounting team and will be eligible for bonuses, full benefits, 401K match and our Tuition Reimbursement Program.   The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounting, billing, reconciliation, and record keeping activities for the United Pacific business, including wholesale and retail operations in the fuel and convenience store industry. General responsibilities in accounting will be required and comprise most of the workload. This role will focus on Payroll, Inter-company, Insurance, R&M, and Lottery related entries/reconciliations as well as other ad hoc requests from managers. We are a growing business and looking for a highly engaged and team-oriented accountant who will help us to embody United's core values- being one team, demonstrating respect for all, staying people focused and ensuring results matter.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required * 2-3 years of accounting experience is required * Experience with month end close and associated responsibilities including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and analysis is needed * ERP system experience is not required but is preferred * Demonstrates strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles * Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as V-look-up, Pivot tables, Sumifs is required * Strong written and verbal communication skills are required * Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines (e.g. prior companies) * Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills * Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment * Engaged in the culture finding efficiencies, utilizing technology * Able to interact with various levels and functions throughout the organization
