We are seeking a goal-oriented, detail-obsessed and reliable team player to fill our staff accounting position. The selected candidate will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks within the Finance and Talent & Culture department and will support the team in essential accounting functions. Come grow with us! Location: Indianapolis, IN (In-office) HOW WILL YOU HELP US GROW? Complete the three-way match process for all PO receipts to ensure accurate payables using AI technologies. Ensure payables are accurate and timely. Forecast AP Cash Flow Work directly with vendors, purchasing agents, and receiving to investigate discrepancies. Reconcile and investigate discrepancies on accrued freight accounts. Assist with month end close Journal Entries and Recons Assist with annual 401K Audit Application of Cash Receipts to Customer Accounts Investigate AR Discrepancies Daily Bank Reconciliation Reconcile and process payroll and benefit accounts and work to identify discrepancies Vendor and contractor management Compile year end 1099 Vendor management Data Manage state and sales tax communications Bi-weekly Payroll processing Other various accounting projects and analysis as needed. Requirements WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE? At least 2+ years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. Desire to make the accounting processes more efficient and effective. Must have eye for detail in ensuring data integrity. Team player that has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. Ability to use analytical thinking skills to solve problems. Software skills: MS Excel, Paylocity, Sage Intacct and Monday.com experience are a plus Basic knowledge of AI Tools is a plus (ChatGPT, CoPilot, etc.) HOW WILL WE HELP YOU GROW?
