JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As an Active Directory/Entra Engineer, you will be responsible for Active Directory DS, inclusive of Azure AD services. These services are comprehensive – inclusive of architecture, design, implementation, and ongoing operations in a dev-ops model with a focus on automation, integration, service resiliency and business partnership. The Active Directory Engineer will be responsible for the support, performance, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of directory services/M365 across the GE Aerospace landscape.
Ideal candidate will have expertise in Active Directory management, migrations, Windows Exchange, Windows server, Entra-Sync and Strong PowerShell scripting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum 5 years of IT experience in IT operations, DevOps, or development
  • 3 years of experience with Active Directory and Entra ID

NOTE:

The salary range for this position is 110,700.00 - 165,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan. This posting is expected to close on September 2nd, 2025.

Responsibilities

Looking for an Active Directory engineer with expertise in Active Directory management, migrations, Group Policy Management, DFS, Windows server, and PowerShell.

  • Hands-on engineering responsibilities (Domain Controller build (server 2025), installation, configuration, upgrades, schema extensions/modifications and performance tuning and optimization). Ability to document the procedures/instructions.
  • Experience in AD trusts and maintaining AD sites and services.
  • Extensive knowledge of creating and maintaining group policy objects.
  • Experience in systems engineering, operating systems, scripting (ADCLI, PowerShell, Azure CLI, MS Graph) and architecture.
  • Experience with Microsoft or 3rd party management and monitoring solutions (SCCM,SCOM).
  • Experience managing Entra ID in both cloud and hybrid environments, including integration with on-premises Active Directory. Experience in Entra AD and supporting AADConnect/Cloud Sync.
  • Experience Supporting Hybrid Exchange Environments. Understanding of Exchange Online architecture, administration, and migration processes.
  • Ability to use PowerShell for Automation, migration tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Directory Stack and Entra and supporting components.
  • Integrating applications with Entra ID for authentication and authorization, including SSO, MFA, and other security features.
  • Deep understanding of Entra ID features, including directory objects, authentication, authorization, identity governance, and application access.
  • Proactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systems.
  • Working knowledge of PKI, IGA, PAM, SSO.
  • Provides technical consulting on the integration of application systems.
  • Adhere to corporate standards/problem and change management policies.
  • Produce root cause analysis documents and report on progress.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, strong sense of teamwork, and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills able to speak directly and professionally even when challenged.
  • Recognizes patterns and complexity in problems. Acts as team player.
  • Experience with Mergers and Divestitures preferred.
