*Description for Internal Candidates     onsemi is seeking a Staff Analog Design Engineer, NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, Power Management, to join our growing team in Limerick, Ireland. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC drivers, Switches and efuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications.    Responsibilities for Internal Candidates     In this role, you will focus on the following: * Lead multiple analog IPs with IP ownership and responsibility from definition, IP execution to release to manufacturing. * Able to resolve complex analog problem and propose and implement the solution. * Provide design guidance as needed, developing schedules and monitoring progress throughout the project. * Evaluate intermediate and results of projects during the design phase and during silicon evaluation, to ensure accomplishment of technical objectives. * Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitors the progress of IC layout. * Collaborate with Design Verification teams during the pre-tapeout phase of a project to ensure completion of all technical tasks before tapeout. * Work with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing and assist the team in product briefs, datasheets, application notes and assisting in the definition of the product to meet customer needs as well as contributing to roadmap formulation and new concept creation. * Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production. * Provide technical leadership in driving architecture design and circuit design based on high-level specifications.  * Own technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex mixed-signal designs and control loops.  * Understand project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives.    Qualifications for Internal Candidates     Minimum Requirements: * BS in Electrical Engineering or related plus 7 years of experience, or MS plus 5 years of experience. Qualification * Solid track record of delivering multiple complex IPs to manufacturing. * Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and methodologies.  * Goal and outcome-focused with the ability to handle multiple projects within the team.  * Ability to attract and retain key engineering talent. * Experience in simplifying complex problems into smaller problems and solving them as a team.  * Good understanding of various Power Converters such as Buck, Boost, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, linear regulators gm-stage and relevant Analog building blocks.  * Good understanding of topologies and architectures for Constant-on-time, Peak, and Valley Current Mode, Voltage Mode, Multi-Phase Controllers, and Smart Power Stages.  * Good understanding of DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC devices and drivers. * Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing.  * Familiarity with advanced Bipolar, CMOS, and High Voltage BCD technology, Process, Device Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing processes, and their impact on Analog performance.  * Understanding of large power transistor (LDMOS) Design, Layout, and Robustness.  * Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification tools such as Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out.  * Strong verbal and written communication skills.  * Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes.  * Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.  * Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.  * Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.      Same Posting Description for Internal and External Candidates onsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is driving disruptive innovations to help build a better future.
