Description New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast (and beyond), serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24-hour help line and mobile response team, and outpatient programs conveniently located across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. In addition, New Horizons assists 22,000 students in area schools, and we work closely with the courts, law enforcement, jails, and hospitals to help improve the health of individuals and the quality of life in our community. New Horizons is seeking a caring and compassionate Staff Assistant for our Student Assistance Programs in the schools in our community. The staff assistant will be a self starter, organized and a team player. This position will assists the Team Leader of Prevention Operations and the Team Leader of School & Community Relations with day-to-day administrative functions, program documentation, grant reporting support, and data entry into the Performance Based Prevention System (PBPS) and other electronic platforms used by the program. As a Staff Assistant, your responsibilities include: Opens, sorts, reviews and distributes incoming mail; routes outgoing mail. Maintains adequate supply of program forms and other record keeping documents. Answers telephone, takes messages and communicates messages to the appropriate person. Supports data entry and documentation for the Student Assistance Program. Assists Team Leaders with the compilation and organization of documentation needed for grant reporting purposes. Provides direct administrative support to Team Leaders. Requirements Requirements New Horizons will need you to have the following qualifications: High school Diploma or equivalent Four (4) years’ clerical experience Keyboarding 55 wpm Must pass Level 2 Background through DCF and AHCA Clearinghouse.
